Interview For

Amboss Magazine (Germany)

circa early 2001

Amboss: What do you think about your first concert in Germany? Are you satisfied? Do you know anything about the stir which happened because of you here in Germany?

Daniel: Our first concert was incredible. We hope to relocate to Deutschland in two years. But I actually thought all the "stir" was a result of our disappointing hair styles!

Amboss: In Bochum your singer wore a marriage costume. How important is your show for you?

Lucas: It was actually just a frilly white dress. but we can still get married, if you like. (giggle, blush)

Daniel: Viva la Bochum! I have A.D.D. Can not concentrate!

Amboss: You have already played some new songs at your show in Bochum. When can we expect the second longplayer?

Daniel: New songs!

Lucas: When should we set the date for our wedding ceremony? (blush, giggle)

Bonzo: The second Trisol album should be out in April or May of 2001.

Amboss: What are you talking about in your lyrics and how important are they?

Daniel: My lyrics are mostly folk songs that tell of love and romance and "tribal sensuality".

Lucas: I just tell "tall tales" to the listening public. You see, I'm a "jaw-jacker" by nature.

Amboss: What is the difference between the German and the American audiences?

Daniel: Well, we were all very impressed by the crowd at Pagan Love Songs. But to be fair, we must see more German audiences. Overall, American audiences are terrible. Too reserved.

Lucas: Although I think people have been very good to us. when you are performing for Americans, you just have to go and visit for a while. Hold their hand. Put your nose on their cheek. Share a few tears together. Then things are dandy, and everyone's ready for a stiff drink.

Amboss: Did you vote during the last Presidential election?

Daniel: Why, yes! I voted for Andi Sex Gang!

Bonzo: I accidentally voted in the next election.

Amboss: Do you like the comparison with Sex Gang Children?

Daniel: We don't associate with any kind of gang.

Amboss: How has the arrangement with Trisol happened and are you satisfied with the label?

Daniel: Sorry, I have to urinate.

Lucas: We just sort of ran into each other. It's been going fine. I enjoy doing business with them.

Amboss: Are you in contact with other American gothic bands?

Lucas: I think the band we have the most intimate contact with is Trance To the Sun, whose music is more in the ethereal genre. We're friends with Ashkelon Sain, the main musician from that project, and he has recorded us several times. He is presently producing our next album with us. Besides that, we're comrades with Patrick M. from Kommunity FK, and the little girls in Element.

Amboss: What do your parents say concerning your outfits?

Lucas: I think my parents are proud of us, regardless of our unusual appearances. My dad was a tremendous help to us on our first trip to Europe. I mean, he lent me that white dress.

Daniel: My mother was the bird on the cover of our seven-inch.

Amboss: How would you describe your music to an alien?

Mik: Yes!

Daniel: First I would have to establish a common understanding of the existence of time. I would then inquire as to whether the alien had any weapons, and if, for the purpose of my example, I could borrow them. I would then kill the alien and would have to explain nothing.

Lucas: Then, could I eat the alien?

Bonzo: Kill the fucking alien! Rah!
